Most long-haul flights, and nearly all low-cost routes, arrive at Rome Fiumicino or Ciampino, Milan Malpensa, Bergamo Orio al Serio, Bologna, Verona or Genoa. From there it is still several hours to your villa in Chianti or your hotel in Montecatini — and for a group, the simplest answer is one vehicle that leaves the airport and arrives at the door.

Rome Fiumicino (FCO)
Italy's main gateway, where most intercontinental flights land. From Fiumicino it is a straight run north up the A1 — one of the routes we cover most often.
Rome Ciampino (CIA)
Rome's low-cost airport: smaller and quicker to get out of. Convenient for groups arriving from elsewhere in Europe and heading north the same day.
Milan Malpensa (MXP)
Northern Italy's long-haul gateway. It is the longest run down to Tuscany, and the one where a single vehicle makes the biggest difference — especially after an overnight flight.
Milan Bergamo (BGY)
Orio al Serio is the low-cost hub for flights from northern Europe. Plenty of groups land here because the fare was cheap, then discover that reaching Tuscany by train with the luggage is another matter entirely.
Milan Linate (LIN)
Close to central Milan and used mostly by European scheduled flights and business travel. Convenient for corporate delegations heading to trade fairs and events in Tuscany.
Bologna Marconi (BLQ)
The closest of them all: a little over ninety minutes from Florence. A good compromise when there is nothing suitable into Florence or Pisa.
Verona Catullo (VRN)
The north-east gateway, popular with groups combining Lake Garda or Venice with a stay in Tuscany.
Genoa Colombo (GOA)
Handy for arrivals from Liguria, or for itineraries that pair the Riviera with Tuscany. The coastal route is also the most enjoyable of the six.

Times below are to Florence and are calculated for a coach, so they are more cautious than a car's: they allow for traffic and for the rest stops required by law.

For destinations other than Florence the times shift accordingly: Montecatini Terme and Lucca are closer when arriving from the north, while Siena and the Val d'Orcia add roughly an hour.

The three arrangements we are asked for most often:
- One way — we collect you at the airport and drop you at your address. Useful when you already have transport in Tuscany, or won't need any.
- Return — the most popular: we meet you on arrival and come back at the end of your stay for the flight home. Both journeys are quoted together.
- At your disposal for the whole stay — the two transfers plus the coach and driver staying with you for excursions. This is what touring groups take: wineries, hill towns, art cities.
One detail matters on long runs: a driver's hours are regulated by law, with a compulsory break after a set period at the wheel. On the Milan and Rome routes we build that into the schedule, so the arrival time you are given is a realistic one rather than an optimistic one.

What an airport transfer to Tuscany costs
We don't publish a price list, because over these distances a standard price wouldn't mean much. The quote depends on:
- the departure airport and your final address — that is, the actual mileage
- passenger numbers and luggage, which determine the vehicle
- timing: night arrivals and dawn departures commit the driver at unsocial hours
- one way or return, which is usually better quoted together
