Florence is the most visited city in Tuscany and, at the same time, the hardest one to reach as a group. The historic centre sits inside a ZTL (zona a traffico limitato, a restricted traffic zone), tourist coaches need a paid city permit to approach it, and the parking areas are nowhere near the Duomo. Hiring a private coach with a driver in Florence removes all of that: your group is dropped as close to the sights as the rules allow and picked up again exactly where and when you agreed.
GiroMunna is a fully licensed Italian NCC operator (chauffeured hire) based in Ponte Buggianese, about 50 minutes from Florence. We run 26-seat minibuses and 51-seat grand tourers across the city and the whole metropolitan area, every day of the year.

Where coaches can stop in Florence
The centre of Florence is a UNESCO World Heritage site and closed to unauthorised traffic. Tourist coaches may only use specific points, at specific times, with a permit issued by the city. These are the ones we use most:
- Parterre (Piazza della Libertà) — the coach terminal closest to the centre: about fifteen minutes on foot to the Duomo
- Villa Costanza (Scandicci) — a large park-and-ride on the A1 motorway, linked to the centre by the T1 tramline: ideal if your group wants to come and go independently
- Piazzale Michelangelo — a short stop for the panoramic view over the city and the classic group photo
- Fortezza da Basso — the reference point for trade fairs, congresses and large events
The tourist coach permit and the daily fee charged by the city are arranged by us and already included in your quote. You do not have to deal with any of it.
🚌 A tip that saves you an hour: in Florence it pays to agree on a drop-off point and a different pick-up point. Your group walks through the centre following the itinerary instead of doubling back, and finds the coach waiting on the other side.

Frequently asked questions
How many seats do your coaches have?
We operate a 26+1 seat Mercedes-Benz minibus and a 51+1 seat Mercedes-Benz Tourismo grand tourer. For larger parties we run several vehicles together.
Can the coach drive into the centre of Florence?
The centre is a restricted traffic zone and coach access is regulated by the city, with permits and designated points and times. Your driver drops the group at the authorised point nearest your first stop, and we take care of the permit and the access fee.
Do your drivers speak English?
Our drivers manage everyday English, and all bookings, quotes and arrangements are handled in English by email or WhatsApp. If you need a qualified tour guide as well, tell us and we will point you in the right direction — by Italian law the driver cannot act as a guide.
How far in advance should we book?
For straightforward transfers, 24 to 48 hours is usually enough. For group tours, weddings, trade fairs and the high season, book weeks ahead: the best dates go early. If it is last minute, message us on WhatsApp and we will do our best.
Does the quote include tolls and parking?
Yes. Our quote is a fixed price covering fuel, motorway tolls, coach parking, city access permits and the driver. There is nothing extra to pay at the end of the service.
